Introduction to Qualtrics (Online)

 
 
This one day course will be offered via Zoom only. Attendance is required as it will not be recorded.

This is a hands-on introductory workshop. Participants will create a basic survey, add display and skip logic, and use content validation, piped text, and embedded data. We will create a contact list for distributing survey invitations, and overview the elements of Survey Flow. We will create “chained” surveys to collect personal information from participants that is stored separately from survey responses for distributing survey incentives. The course will not cover analysis or reporting.
 

Participants are encouraged to read the Tips and Tricks sheet in preparation for the course.
 

This course is only open to the UNC-CH community with active UNC Qualtrics accounts who are registered with DUO through ITS. Registrants who do not already have an onyen-based UNC Qualtrics account must create one prior to arriving for the course, using the instructions at http://qualtrics.unc.edu. Instructor: Tyler Steelman

Tyler Steelman is a 5th year PhD candidate in the Political Science Department at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is currently the Qualtrics Consultant for the Odum Institute where he assists users with technical software questions related to the Qualtrics platform.

Tyler uses Qualtrics in his own research which focuses on non-territorial forms of representation in the United States—namely, surrogate representation. • This class will be offered via Zoom ONLY. Registration closes at 12:01am, October 10, 2021. Once registration closes, no late registrations will be accepted, no exceptions.
• Cancellation/ Refund Policy: A full refund will be given to those who cancel their registration no later than 10 days prior to the course. If you cancel within the 10 days prior to the class, no refund will be given. Please allow 30 days to receive your refund.
• Zoom link for this course will be sent prior to the course. Registration must be made at least 3 days prior to the course date to receive the Zoom link.
