Erin Dillenschneider

Lead transcriptionist

derrdill@email.unc.edu

Prior to joining the Odum transcription team in 2020, Erin Dillenschneider began her career as a transcriptionist while working for a private transcription company for several years. After she became responsible for training new transcriptionists and supporting a multitude of new client expectations, she knew that it was time to take her career to the next level. She joined the Odum Institute’s transcription team in March 2020 as the Institute’s first dedicated transcriptionist, greatly expanding the team’s capacity. Erin now serves as the lead transcriptionist of Odum’s transcription service, which has expanded to include two additional dedicated team members.

After bouncing back and forth between the U.A.E. and the U.S., Erin and her family finally settled in Oxford, NC in 1994. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Andrews University in 2005, she eventually relocated to Chapel Hill, NC with her husband and daughter.

In her free time, Erin loves to create many different forms of art and is the co-owner of an online shop that sells both she and her husband’s artwork. If she’s not painting or creating art, you can typically find her in the garden with her family or maybe even attempting to hone her skills as an amateur disc-golfer.
