Stella is a PhD student in the Music Department at UNC Chapel Hill. She received her B.A.in Music Theory and Composition from St. Olaf College in 2017. Stella is broadly interested in interdisciplinarity, global history, and modern sound culture in East Asia. Her current research focuses on the intersection between radio, ritual, and ideological construction in 1930s Japan.
