Sarah Halvorson-Fried is a rising second year PhD student in Health Behavior at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Prior to starting at UNC she worked as a nonprofit program evaluator in New York City. She has a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech and a BA in Philosophy from Macalester College. Her research interests center on neighborhood effects and impacts of the built environment on health behavior and inequitable health outcomes.
