Qualtrics User Support
Qualtrics is a powerful web-survey tool that the Odum Institute survey research team brought to campus in 2006. It is browser-based, allowing researchers to access it from anywhere with an Internet connection, and allows users to build complex surveys, distribute them, and analyze the responses all from one place.
Any member of the UNC community can access and use Qualtrics free of charge by signing up through the UNC Qualtrics Portal.

Drop-in consultation hours: We offer drop-in consultation hours and via this go.unc.edu/Qconsult
and in-person at Carolina Square,123 W. Franklin St, Suite 330A Rm 3165-D
- Tuesdays 10am-12pm
- Wednesdays 10am – 12pm
- Thursdays 1pm-3pm
- Support is offered year-round when the University is open

Email assistance: We offer email support during regular business hours when the University is open. Send a message to qualtrics@unc.edu with questions, or to schedule an appointment.
ITS Service Desk: For ownership transfers, group management, or login issues, you can submit a service request through ITS here: https://help.unc.edu/. Search for “Qualtrics Support” and select the appropriate type of request.
After-hours support: Log in to your account at qualtrics.unc.edu, click on the ? icon at the top right of your screen, and select “Contact Support”.

Survey Consultant & Programmer
Michelle Temple is the consultant & programmer for UNC’s online survey tool, Qualtrics, providing services to students, staff, and faculty building and distributing surveys for their research. Additionally, Michelle is the Brand Administrator for Qualtrics, coordinating license changes, feature additions/removals, and handling administrative tasks for uses across campus.
