Integrated Mixed Methods: Bridging Qualitative and Quantitative Methods and Results (Online)

January 29 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This is a one-day course (9am – 3pm US Eastern). Lunch break will be 12pm – 1pm. Attendance is required as this class will not be recorded.

Mixed methods research (MMR) refers to research design and implementation that combines qualitative and quantitative data collection and/or analysis strategies. This seminar discusses best practices, through the review of exemplars and discussion of theoretical approaches, in “mixing” methods and integrating qualitative and quantitative research. We will focus on strategies, tips, and best practices to accomplish effective integration. We will focus on decision-making related to study design and execution, including writing up methods and results of MMR.

This course will count as 7.0 CSS short course credit hours.

She has taught both graduate and undergraduate research methods, and has conducted and published interdisciplinary and sociological research across methods and in mixed methods.
