The mission of the Odum Institute for Research in Social Science is to foster groundbreaking social research that improves the lives of people in North Carolina and around the world. Odum expands Carolina’s impact by providing education and support for planning, implementing, and disseminating research. We work to advance rigorous and reproducible research across the data, social and health sciences, while building collaborative, trans-disciplinary research networks.

  • Our Qualtrics consulting hours are now held virtually via Zoom, instead of face-to-face. Please see the Qualtrics page for more information about how to access support.
  • Odum consultants are still available to provide consultations and project assistance from a distance. Please visit our consultant list to find the staff member best suited to supporting your project needs.
